Privacy Policy

Distracted Quest ("we", "us") operates the Distracted Quest Postiz app, a private, self-hosted social media scheduling tool used only to manage and publish content to Distracted Quest's own social media accounts. This policy explains what data the app accesses and how it is handled.

Who uses this app

The app is used only by the Distracted Quest owner to manage Distracted Quest's own accounts. It is not offered to the public, and public sign-up is disabled.

Data we access

When an account is connected, the app receives access tokens and basic profile information (such as account name, ID, and profile picture) from the platform, and the permissions needed to publish posts, upload videos and images, and read post comments and performance statistics. Connected platforms may include YouTube (Google), Facebook, Instagram, X, and TikTok.

How we use data

Data is used only to schedule and publish Distracted Quest content, view comments and replies on that content, and view basic analytics for Distracted Quest's own accounts. We do not use the data for advertising, and we do not sell, rent, or share it with third parties, except with the platform itself as needed to publish content.

Google and YouTube data

The app uses YouTube API Services. By using it, you are also bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. The app's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can revoke the app's access at any time from your Google Account permissions page.

Storage and security

Data is stored on a privately owned server operated by Distracted Quest and is reachable only through an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Access tokens are kept only as long as an account stays connected.

Data deletion

Disconnecting an account in the app, or revoking the app's access in the platform's own settings (Google, Facebook, Instagram, X, or TikTok), stops all further access. To request deletion of any stored data, email distractedquest@gmail.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request" and the account involved. We will delete the data within 30 days and confirm by email.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy. Changes take effect when posted on this page with a new effective date.
